From July 1st to July 8th 2028 is the week when we can meet at STEVNINGHUS / NY HEDEBY for this year's center summer camp.
This time we are addressing scouts all over the world, so you can look forward to a summer camp with more languages and more cultures
The title of the summer camp is "WILD SUMMER CAMP", and it covers 3 activity areas:
WILD VIKING: NY-HEDEBY is our Viking village.
The Viking village consists of 5 houses first built in 1969, and has since been maintained and rebuilt. In the area we also have our blacksmith and the multi-purpose house. The Viking village forms the framework for our Viking activities, and here we mention: the vault's workshop, Viking food, god race, warrior school and various crafts, etc.
WILD CAMP: the activities can take place both at your campsite and in the surrounding areas. It's about: Pioneers, coal lake, campfire, wild and wet, sustainability, scout prep, food, "wild on purpose" etc. We have lots of rafts, so only your imagination sets the limits. We are part of SCENES, and therefore sustainability is in focus for us. Hostrup Lake in the "backyard" invites you to everything from canoeing, raft building and wet challenges. (remember your swimsuit)
WILD NATURE: we are located in 48 acres of the most fantastic natural area with many rare animals and plants right on the edge of remnants from the ice age. It invites you to different nature experiences: bees are a resource that we can study closely. Plant dye in Viking style, wool / felting, bog walks. Edible nature. Science. When you are at center camp at NY-HEDEBY 2028, and participate in parts of all 3 activity areas, you will receive a very specially designed badge for your uniform.
We expect the camp price for summer camp 2028 to be DKK 1,365.- for full camp. (183 €)
